Clean Slate Expungement Fair March 26 in Traverse City

TRAVERSE CITY, MI—Recent laws make it easier to have certain felonies and misdemeanors set aside, which could clear your public criminal record. Northwest Michigan Works! is partnering with Michigan Indian Legal Services and Safe & Just Michigan in hosting a Clean Slate Expungement Fair to help people navigate the expungement and set aside process. Attorneys will be present to provide free expungement/set aside assistance. The Expungement Fair will be held Saturday, March 26, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Traverse City Northwest Michigan Works! Center at 1209 S. Garfield Ave.
Register for the Expungement Fair at nwm.org/ExpungementFair. An Expungement Fair will also be held later this year in Cadillac.
The Networks Northwest team did a great job to help the City of Charlevoix and Charlevoix Township collaborate in addressing housing challenges in our community. They facilitated dialogue with Planning Commissioners, community stakeholders, and municipal officials to develop a plan for cohesive zoning in areas of growth for our two governments. Further, they were able to pinpoint the challenges in each unit and propose changes that would be beneficial all around. Together, we believe we'll be better prepared for housing developments and job growth in our region. We look forward to working with them on future projects!
