I was able to learn that leadership isn't always about being in charge; it's about being able to inspire and positively impact those around you.

Michigan Works! was incredibly helpful in my search for employment. I attended one of the Career Connections, which helped me boost my confidence back up of losing my job of six years. It was reassuring to see other highly qualified individuals struggling but receiving the assistance they needed as well. Michigan Works! would be my first stop if I was unfortunate enough to lose my job again.

Northwest Michigan Works! played an important role in helping me transition into my current position. Starting a new role can feel overwhelming, but having guidance and encouragement throughout the transition made a significant difference. Their support not only helped ease the transition into my new position, but also gave me reassurance during a major career step. I'm grateful for the assistance and professionalism they provided throughout the process, and I truly appreciate the positive impact they had on this opportunity and my professional growth.

When I first started the PATH program, I was at the lowest point in my life. As a single mother of three, I was depressed, broke, unemployed, and unsure of how to move forward. [Northwest] Michigan Works! and the PATH program gave me the confidence, motivation, and support I needed to set goals and truly believe I could achieve them. Today, I am able to fully support myself and my children, and I recently purchased a new vehicle—something I once thought was out of reach. The possibilities truly are endless when you accept life's challenges and make use of the tools and support Michigan Works! has to offer.

This resource (bicycle) means having a job. Being able to get to work every day is very important to me right now. For me, this job means being able to save money for college. Without any stable transportation that wouldn’t be possible.
