Northwest Michigan Works! is seeking an individual with a sharp business sense to serve as an Apprenticeship Specialist. As an Apprenticeship Specialist, you will be coordinating, implementing and managing registered apprenticeship programs in Northwest Michigan. In this unique role, Apprenticeship Specialists work directly with employers and educational partners to design custom training programs across a wide range of industries and in-demand occupations. Apprenticeship Specialists also work one-on-one with apprentices to help ensure success of each participant in their individual programs.

Transportation Planning Internship
Networks Northwest is seeking a Transportation Planning Intern in Traverse City. This is a part-time, flexible hybrid position that includes a combination of in-office and field work. The Networks Northwest team did a great job to help the City of Charlevoix and Charlevoix Township collaborate in addressing housing challenges in our community. They facilitated dialogue with Planning Commissioners, community stakeholders, and municipal officials to develop a plan for cohesive zoning in areas of growth for our two governments. Further, they were able to pinpoint the challenges in each unit and propose changes that would be beneficial all around. Together, we believe we'll be better prepared for housing developments and job growth in our region. We look forward to working with them on future projects!
