Going PRO Talent Fund Virtual Information Session November 15

NORTHWEST, MI – Employers from northwest Lower Michigan are encouraged to join a virtual information session November 15 to learn about the application process for the Going Pro Talent Fund (Talent Fund). This innovative training fund has approximately $55 million dollars available statewide this year to help businesses train their workforce. The Talent Fund makes awards to employers to assist in training, developing and retaining current and newly hired employees. Training funded by the Talent Fund must be short-term and fill a demonstrated talent need experienced by the employer. Training must lead to a credential for a skill that is transferable and recognized by industry. Training can be provided for existing employees, new hires, or registered DOL apprentices.
The November 15 Virtual Employer Information Session will be held on Zoom and will include information about some significant changes made this year to the Talent Fund online application process. The information session will run from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. All employers from Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee and Wexford counties are encouraged to participate in the information session.
