Planning for a Strong Future

The Village of Thomsponville - Colfax Township Joint Planning Commission are working to update their Master Plan during 2025. The Master Plan describes current trends in population, the local economy, transportation and land use so that they community can make informed decisions on where to go next. The Master Plan functions to inform land use in the Village and Township and is connected to the community's Zoning Ordinance.

Other than the data that will inform decision making, we need your help, too. Public input is a crucial part of the Master Planning process. Please visit this page throughout 2025 for opportunities to participate.

Planning Commission Meetings

The Village of Thompsonville/Colfax Township Planning Commission meets monthly on the first Thursday of each month at 7 pm.

In-person Events

• We will be hosting a Colfax and Thompsonville Public Drop in session from 5-8 pm on Monday July 21st.
• We will have a community input session at Summerfest on Monday, June 16th.
