This study will provide design recommendations and implementation strategies to improve asset connectivity for active transportation users within an approximate 2-mile stretch of the US-31 corridor, between the Oden State Fish Hatchery and the community of Ponshewaing. The North Western State Trail, a popular recreation destination and key link in the Top of Michigan Trails system, is located on the north side of US-31. Residences, recreation sites and local businesses are located on both sides of the road. The project timeframe is June 2026 through December 2026.
