Michigan Works in Petoskey Moves to New Location and Expands Service Hours

 

PETOSKEY, MI –The Northwest Michigan Works! Center in Petoskey will have a new location beginning August 31. The Center’s new location will be 2240 Mitchell Park Drive, which is one street south of the previous site. The Center’s Resource Room will also expand its hours of operation from three to four days per week. The Resource Room will now be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to noon, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Petoskey Michigan Works! Center will open on August 31 as a Career Café. The café will offer a menu of job search services for all levels of job seekers, including help with job search, résumés, interviewing, networking, and more. Job seekers meeting certain eligibility criteria can obtain scholarships to attend training in high-demand careers. More information is available at: NWMichWorks.org.

The Networks Northwest team did a great job to help the City of Charlevoix and Charlevoix Township collaborate in addressing housing challenges in our community. They facilitated dialogue with Planning Commissioners, community stakeholders, and municipal officials to develop a plan for cohesive zoning in areas of growth for our two governments. Further, they were able to pinpoint the challenges in each unit and propose changes that would be beneficial all around. Together, we believe we'll be better prepared for housing developments and job growth in our region. We look forward to working with them on future projects!
