Michigan Works Career Connection Coming to Lake City
LAKE CITY, MI –Job seekers will have the chance to learn about job opportunities and improve their job search skills by getting involved with the new Lake City Career Connection. The first meeting will be Tuesday, May 6 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ardis Missaukee District Library located at 210 South Canal Street.
“The Lake City Career Connection presents an open forum opportunity for job seekers to meet and network regarding employment opportunities in our area,” said Ken Gorlewski, Northwest Michigan Works! Career Facilitator. “The meetings will be hosted by Michigan Works! professional staff who will provide valuable insight regarding hiring trends and current job openings. They will also help participants prepare for their next job.”
The May 6 Career Connection will focus on “Résumé Development.” The meeting is open to all job seekers and there is no charge to attend. Seating is limited so pre-registration is required by calling 231-775-3408. Future meetings at the Ardis Missaukee District Library are scheduled for June 3 and July 1. Similar Career Connection groups also meet on a regular basis in Cadillac.
