East Jordan Residents Encouraged to Participate in Survey for New Economic Development Strategy

News Release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 25, 2024

EAST JORDAN, MI – East Jordan residents, neighbors, and visitors are being encouraged to take an online survey to help guide local leaders as they set a new strategy for economic prosperity. The City, with assistance from the Networks Northwest Community Development team, is creating an Economic Development Strategy that will identify opportunities and challenges to the City’s economic prosperity. The purpose of the Strategy is to support community revitalization, improve the local economy, and assist policymakers in the decision making process for future growth.

The survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete and is available on the Networks Northwest website at nwm.org/EJEconDev.

The Networks Northwest team did a great job to help the City of Charlevoix and Charlevoix Township collaborate in addressing housing challenges in our community. They facilitated dialogue with Planning Commissioners, community stakeholders, and municipal officials to develop a plan for cohesive zoning in areas of growth for our two governments. Further, they were able to pinpoint the challenges in each unit and propose changes that would be beneficial all around. Together, we believe we'll be better prepared for housing developments and job growth in our region. We look forward to working with them on future projects!
