KALKASKA, MI – A community job fair will take place Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Railroad Square Pavilion, located at 107 S. Elm Street in Kalkaska, bringing together job seekers, local employers, and community organizations. Hosted by Northwest Michigan Works!, the free event is open to anyone interested in learning more about job opportunities in the area and aims to connect local talent with employment opportunities across the region while strengthening the local workforce.
Organized by Northwest Michigan Works! and regional partners, the Railroad Square Job Fair is designed to connect job seekers with local employers who are actively hiring. The event will also introduce attendees to organizations that provide employment services, training opportunities, and career development support.
“Events like this help bring local employers and job seekers together in a way that’s personal and meaningful,” said Rob Best, Business Services Representative with Northwest Michigan Works!. “When people have the chance to meet face-to-face, it opens the door for real conversations about careers, opportunities, and the needs of our local businesses.”
Both employers and job seekers are encouraged to register ahead of time at nwm.org/jobfairrailroadsquare. This outdoor event requires participating employers and community organizations to bring their own tables, chairs, canopies, and any materials needed for their booth setup.
