Public Input Sought on M-115/M-55 Corridor

The Cadillac area community is invited to a public workshop focused on the future of the M-115/M-55 corridor from US-131 to Mitchell State Park. Networks Northwest and the Alliance for Economic Success (AES) are hosting a meeting on Thursday, May 3 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Cadillac Sands Resort, 6319 M-115. The meeting will be an occasion for the community to discuss the land use and development challenges and opportunities facing the corridor and identify initial action steps for improving the corridor.

Staff from Networks Northwest will present on existing conditions for the highway and Cadillac West areas and then facilitate an exercise to determine strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for the improvement of the corridor. The meeting is part of a planning process being facilitated by Networks Northwest and AES to create a redevelopment plan for the M-115/M-55 corridor.

To RSVP or request more information about the meeting, please contact John Sych, Community Planner at Networks Northwest, at john.sych@networksnorthwest.org or at 231-929-5083.

Our Township greatly benefits from Network Northwest's experience, depth of knowledge and understanding. Because they work with so many diverse communities in our ten-county region they understand the local land-use issues and are already working on solutions by the time we realize we need some help.
