Magna Interior Trim Components Receives Michigan Works! Award

 

TRAVERSE CITY, MI –Magna Interior Trim Components of Benzonia received an Outstanding Business Award from Northwest Michigan Works!. The company was recognized for its success as an employer and Michigan Works! partner.

 

Magna has 220 employees and expects that number to grow to 295 by January 1, 2014. The company regularly looks to Northwest Michigan Works! for assistance. In addition to job postings on the Talent Connect system, Michigan Works! has been able to assist with direct candidate referrals, promotion of job fairs, new recruiting ideas, and the development of On-The-Job Training contracts for high profile positions such as materials expeditor and cost accountant.

 

Magna Interior Trim Components received the award at a September 27 open house at the Career Café located inside the Traverse City Michigan Works! Service Center. The award was presented by Senator Darwin Booher.  Awards were also presented to several other northwest Michigan businesses.
