TIPS Training certification helps you be more valuable in the workplace. TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) is a dynamic, skills-based training program designed to prevent intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking by enhancing the fundamental “people skills” of servers, sellers and consumers of alcohol. TIPS gives individuals the knowledge and confidence they need to recognize potential alcohol-related problems and intervene to prevent alcohol-related tragedies.
The training, testing, and certification are facilitated in this one-day session at the Kalkaska Michigan Works! Learning Lab building, 103 Third Street, Kalkaska MI 49646. $20 covers the cost of the book (no charge for PATH participants). Lunch will be provided.
“I appreciated the skills and knowledge I gained as a participant in the TIPS program. As my career advanced, I constantly referred back to the lessons I learned from TIPS when dealing with alcohol-related situations in the different bars and restaurants I managed.”
