Skills Up North Recognizes First Students to Complete the Program
Northwest Michigan Works! and the Traverse Bay Area ISD held a completion ceremony to recognize the first participants in the Skills Up North program. The 11 members of the first class completed course work in automotive technology, culinary arts, or welding and fabrication. They also worked on completing their GEDs or improving their academic skills. The program is designed to help the students learn skills to improve their employability and wage earning potential.
