New Website Showcases Leelanau Scenic Heritage Route

The Leelanau Scenic Heritage Route Committee is announcing the activation of its new Scenic Route website. M22LeelanauHeritageRoute.org is designed to provide news, events, and amenities information for both public and commercial locations within the townships and villages along the Scenic Heritage Route.

M22LeelanauHeritageRoute.org features a trip planner to create trips based on attractions or by activities. Visitors can plan their next trip based on the site’s four pre-existing collections or create their own itinerary for a personalized experience.

The website includes locations and information on all the parks, beaches, water access sites, trails, trailheads, National Park and Leelanau Conservancy wildlife conservation areas and preserves, and museums along the Leelanau Scenic Heritage Route. Also included are links to wineries, vineyards, distilleries, cideries, restaurants, shops, and sleeping accommodations.

M22LeelanauHeritageRoute.org is administered through the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments and is supported by volunteer editors in each of the communities along the route.

For information about having news, events, and location information for communities along the Scenic Heritage Route added to the website, contact Paul Bussey at: paulbussey@nwm.cog.mi.us, or 231-929-5053.
