Mission One STEM Career Expo in Traverse City

More than 100 students learned about STEM education and career opportunities at the first annual Mission One STEM Career Expo held at the Northwestern Michigan College Aero Park Campus in Traverse City. Event partners included Newton’s Road, the Boy Scouts, Atlas Space, and the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce. Newton's Road is a program of Networks Northwest, operating in partnership with area businesses and schools, dedicated to promoting STEM education for K-12 students in Northwest Lower Michigan. The STEM Career Expo included a CanSat satellite launch that was postponed one day due to cloud cover.
