Job Seekers and Employers Meet at Hot Jobs Now Event at Northwest Michigan Works!
Local jobs where workers can start immediately were showcased at a Hot Jobs Now Career Connection event at Northwest Michigan Works! in Traverse City. The event featured a panel of local employers with jobs that are available immediately. Each of the employers pitched those jobs and the benefits of working for their business. Job seekers attending the event were invited to bring copies of their résumé and be prepared for an interview.
Career Connection meetings cover a variety of topics for job seekers. The meetings are held on a regular basis at the Career Café in Traverse City and in several other communities in northwest Lower Michigan. Career Connection gives job seekers the opportunity to learn about job opportunities and improve their job search skills.

The Networks Northwest team did a great job to help the City of Charlevoix and Charlevoix Township collaborate in addressing housing challenges in our community. They facilitated dialogue with Planning Commissioners, community stakeholders, and municipal officials to develop a plan for cohesive zoning in areas of growth for our two governments. Further, they were able to pinpoint the challenges in each unit and propose changes that would be beneficial all around. Together, we believe we'll be better prepared for housing developments and job growth in our region. We look forward to working with them on future projects!
