Immediate Job Openings at Michigan Works Hot Jobs Now Event Sept. 18

Local jobs where workers can start immediately will be showcased at a Hot Jobs Now Career Connection event September 18 at Northwest Michigan Works! in Traverse City. The event will start at 1:00 p.m. at the Career Café located inside the Michigan Works! Center at 1209 S. Garfield.

Hot Jobs Now will feature a panel of local employers with jobs that are available immediately. Each of the employers will get a chance to pitch those jobs and the benefits of working for their business.

Job seekers attending the event should bring copies of their résumé and come prepared for an interview.

The event will include snacks and a drawing for gift cards provided by the employers. More information is available by calling 231-922-3700.

Career Connection meetings are held on a regular basis at the Career Café in Traverse City and in several other communities in northwest Lower Michigan. Career Connection gives job seekers the opportunity to learn about job opportunities and improve their job search skills.

Northwest Michigan Works! in Traverse City hosted a Hot Jobs Now event to give five local employers with current job openings a chance to talk about what they have to offer to job seekers. The employers encouraged job seekers to look beyond the entry-level wage and consider things like benefits, the chance to gain experience, and the opportunity for advancement.
