Hospitality Training Provided by NMC Begins April 28 in Traverse City


Job seekers can prepare for jobs at top hotels and restaurants by taking a Hospitality Training class sponsored by Northwest Michigan Works! and the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments. The training runs April 28 through May 15 and is being offered through Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City. Scholarships are available for eligible training participants.


The Hospitality Training class is designed to prepare participants for a variety of hospitality-related jobs. Topics to be covered in the training include: guest service, proper serving techniques, communication skills, professionalism, and career opportunities in hospitality. Participants who successfully complete the 75-hour training program will receive TIPS certification and a certificate of completion from Northwestern Michigan College.
