Employer Forum on Soft Skills
Northwest Michigan Works! is looking at the best ways to teach "soft skills" to youth and adults -- the skills that are essential for every job, such as teamwork, communication, and adaptability. Please join us for a discussion on the importance of these skills in today's workforce. We will demonstrate our new soft skills training program, Workplace Excellence, so you can provide feedback and guidance. Northwest Michigan Works! is committed to serving employer needs, and preparing workers with these critical employment skills is one important way that we can serve you.
This Forum is available at two locations:

The Networks Northwest team did a great job to help the City of Charlevoix and Charlevoix Township collaborate in addressing housing challenges in our community. They facilitated dialogue with Planning Commissioners, community stakeholders, and municipal officials to develop a plan for cohesive zoning in areas of growth for our two governments. Further, they were able to pinpoint the challenges in each unit and propose changes that would be beneficial all around. Together, we believe we'll be better prepared for housing developments and job growth in our region. We look forward to working with them on future projects!
