Attracting and Preparing the Future Workforce
An Employer Forum about Connecting Youth & Business in Benzie County
Wednesday, September 17, 2014
8:30 – 10:00 AM
At Grow Benzie, Inc., 5885 Frankfort Highway, Benzonia, MI 49616
Breakfast will be served.
Benzie County business people are invited to a breakfast with peer businesses in Benzie County to discuss how to fill current and future talent needs, especially in the skilled trades. What types of jobs are available in the County? What kinds of academic preparation and “soft” skills are needed to work at local businesses? How can businesses and youth connect with each other? This conversation, facilitated by Northwest Michigan Works!, is hosted by the Benzie County Economic Development Task Force. We are inviting your active participation in this discussion, and we look forward to hearing and learning from you.
Please RSVP to Anna Mouser at Northwest Michigan Works! by calling 231-929-5067 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.

Our Township greatly benefits from Network Northwest's experience, depth of knowledge and understanding. Because they work with so many diverse communities in our ten-county region they understand the local land-use issues and are already working on solutions by the time we realize we need some help.Susan Odom, Chair, Suttons Bay Township Planning Commission
