Skilled Trades Career Fair for Students at Brethren

More than 400 Students from Kaleva Norman Dickson and Bear Lake Schools learned about local opportunities for skilled trades careers at a hands-on Career Fair in Brethren. A Northwest Michigan Works! Career Facilitator who works with schools in the region organized the event to raise awareness of the trades and local opportunities, and to initiate curiosity for the students to learn more through interactive activities. Our Township greatly benefits from Network Northwest's experience, depth of knowledge and understanding. Because they work with so many diverse communities in our ten-county region they understand the local land-use issues and are already working on solutions by the time we realize we need some help.
