Pam Anderson, a Career Advisor at Northwest Michigan Works! in Manistee, was awarded a “Shining Star” Award by the Michigan Works! Association for her efforts to meet employment needs in Benzie and Manistee counties. Anderson received the award during the Association’s annual conference which was held online this year.

Anderson is a tremendous asset to the workforce development system both locally and across county lines.

“Pam’s continued efforts as a career advisor are proof of her compassion and dedication to her customers,” said Ryan Hundt, chief executive officer of the Michigan Works! Association. “Her 35 years of commitment, determination, and enthusiasm continue to be steadfast and resolute. She is a trusted mentor and coach among her coworkers.”

Anderson has a reputation for going above and beyond to assist her clients, treating each one with care and respect.

“Pam has devoted her time and effort to assisting individuals as they work to achieve their goals and dreams,” said Matt McCauley, CEO of Northwest Michigan Works!. “Her vast scope of responsibility envelopes a rural area that encompasses an incredible 1,450 square miles, making outreach a significant challenge.
