Wexford County Parks and Recreation Plan
WELCOME TO THE WEXFORD COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION PLAN RESOURCE WEBPAGE!
This webpage contains all of the most recent information, resources, and documentation for the Wexford County Parks and Recreation Plan Development Process.
The development of the Wexford County Parks and Recreation Plan is occurring over an eight to twelve-month period from the beginning of January 2023. During this time, public input will be solicited in a variety of ways to capture the needs of the County residents. A public input survey will be released for input in March which will help aid the development of three (3) community pop-up events around the County. Networks Northwest will also be working with Cadillac Area Public Schools to solicit input from school-aged children during two (2) school sessions. As the plan is developed, there will be a Community Open House event and the opportunity to provide comments on the draft plan during the required public comment period and public hearing.
The Wexford County Buildings and Recreation Committee is the body that will help guide the Parks and Recreation Plan process and development. These meetings are open to the public and offer the opportunity to provide input, typically at the beginning and end of a meeting. Information on the Wexford County Buildings and Recreation Committee can be found here.

Our Township greatly benefits from Network Northwest's experience, depth of knowledge and understanding. Because they work with so many diverse communities in our ten-county region they understand the local land-use issues and are already working on solutions by the time we realize we need some help.
