Bingham Township Master Plan
Welcome to the Bingham Township Master Plan Resource Webpage!
This webpage contains all of the most recent information, resources, and documentation for the Bingham Township Master Plan Development Process. A community Master Plan is a policy document that guides land-use decisions and zoning ordinance regulation standards. The document will delve into all aspects of the community from transportation and economic development to rural protection and agriculture.
The development of the Bingham Township Master Plan is occurring over a twelve to fourteen-month period from the summer of 2021 until the early fall of 2022. The planning process will incorporate public input from surveys, direct contact with residents, and communication at public input sessions to be scheduled during the process timeframe.
The Bingham Township Planning Commission is the appointed body that is charged with guiding the Master Plan Process and development of the document. Planning commission meetings are open to the public and residents and visitors are encouraged to attend and participate. Information on Planning Commission meetings and agendas can be found at the following website: https://www.leelanau.gov/binghamtwpplan.asp

Statement Regarding Township Survey:
The Bingham Township Planning Commission is diligently working on the development of a survey that will provide crucial information to assist the Planning Commission in its Master Plan Development Process. We anticipate this survey being available towards the end of August 2021. Please check back with this page and take the survey when able. The Township will be making multiple efforts to notify residents and visitors of the survey once it becomes available.
