NW Regional Child Care Coalition

The NW Regional Child Care Coalition engages multi-sector stakeholders from Region 2 – Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee and Wexford Counties – in developing and implementing sustainable solutions tailored to address regional child care challenges.

In 2024, Networks Northwest worked with multiple community partners to lead a comprehensive planning effort. The process identified the root causes of the child care crisis, as well as feasible solutions that can be implemented by the region.

Building on the solutions identified in the Regional Child Care Plan (link subpage with Full Report, Addendum, and 14 individual solution documents currently posted on the NN Child Care page), and in collaboration with Coalition members and additional stakeholders, the NW Regional Child Care Coalition is working to create a child care system that supports families, strengthens communities, and fuels economic growth in northwest lower Michigan.

Networks Northwest always proves to be a valued resource for our local government planning efforts. No organization does a better job of convening partners, promoting collaboration, and reporting on the data than does Networks Northwest
