Special Hiring Event at Michigan Works in Petoskey

PETOSKEY, MI—New positions with a local employer will be featured at a special hiring event Thursday, October 6 at Northwest Michigan Works! in Petoskey. Jervis B. Webb Company of Harbor Springs is adding a second shift and needs to hire over 25 workers. The hiring event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Michigan Works! Center, 2240 Mitchell Park Drive.

The hiring event will include on site interviews and possible job offers for positions including assemblers, welders, fabricators, and electricians. These are entry level positions paying over $12 per hour with excellent benefits.

Jervis B. Webb Company designs, engineers, installs and supports integrated material handling systems such as baggage handling systems, automatic guided vehicles, conveyor systems and automated storage and retrieval systems. 

Job seekers can prepare for the hiring event at two employability skills classes at the Petoskey Michigan Works! Center. A résumé preparation class will be held Tuesday, October 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. An interview preparation class will be held Wednesday, October 5 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Job seeker services are also available at the Center any day during regular business hours.
