Community Tree Health Forum August 13 in Emmet County
EMMET COUNTY, MI—The M-119 Tunnel of Trees Scenic Heritage Route Committee is hosting a Community Tree Health Forum August 13 in Emmet County. The Forum will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Readmond Township Hall, located at 6034 Wormwood Lane, about four miles south of Cross Village.
The speaker at the forum will be Certified Master Arborist Ben Veling. He’ll discuss ways to promote general tree health, including tree trimming and tree disease. There is no cost to attend the forum.
The M-119 Tunnel of Trees Scenic Heritage Route was designated in 2003. The Heritage Route Committee is an educational and advisory group which strives to protect, preserve, and enhance the natural, scenic, and cultural character of the M-119 Heritage Route.
