Apprenticeship Information Events at Northwest Michigan Works!

NORTHWEST, MI — Apprenticeship opportunities in Michigan are being highlighted during National Apprenticeship Week November 13-17. The week’s activities will include Apprenticeship Information Sessions at Northwest Michigan Works! Centers in Cadillac, Manistee, and Traverse City.  

The dates and locations for the Apprenticeship Information Sessions are:

  • Tuesday, November 14, 12:30-1:30 pm

  • Thursday, November 16, 4-5 pm

  • Friday, November 17, 12:30-1:30 pm

    1209 South Garfield, Traverse City

U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) Registered Apprenticeships are a proven workforce development strategy including on the job training with related technical instruction. Employers who utilize apprentices report higher productivity and retention rates in addition to a substantial return on investment. Apprentices have full-time sustainable income, education without hefty debt, and receive a national credential once the program is completed. Northwest Michigan Works! coordinates Registered Apprenticeships in the region.

The information sessions are open to the public and there is no charge. Space is limited and those interested in attending can register by contacting Sharon at 231-922-3757.
