Club 180 is open to young adults 18 to 24 years old and will provide them with help to complete a GED or a high school diploma and teach them the employability skills businesses are looking for. Club 180 meets Tuesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the United Way office, 521 South Union Street, or on Fridays from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Michigan Works, 1209 S. Garfield.
Club activities will include career interest and aptitude assessments; employment training; group and individual support sessions; guest speakers from local businesses; tours of local businesses; and access to community resources. Club 180 will also offer access to job referrals, internships, and on-the-job training programs. There will be food and door prizes at each Club session.
