Newton’s Road is a one-of-a-kind, multi-dimensional, collaborative, STEM intensive program. It includes everything from engaging community events, strategic partnerships, teacher training, and outstanding regional development potential. The program, and the partnerships and events we offer, are designed to strengthen the presence of STEM for students, teachers, and parents in the 10-county region of Northwest Lower Michigan.
Aligned under Northwest Michigan Works!, a program of Networks Northwest, the underlying goal of Newton’s Road is to strengthen our talent pipeline for STEM-related careers, in order to meet the growing need of businesses in our region.
This year’s focus is ‘Get up, Get together’ so we can better empower our students, teachers, and regional STEM experts to explore K-12 STEM opportunities, relate work being done in the classroom to real world applications, and collaborate across the region to provide the best quality and largest variety of STEM-related activities.
Newton’s Road provides an increasingly rare opportunity for cross-sector communication and engagement. Support, celebrate, and share ideas with the students, teachers, and community members who are the rapidly-growing future of the northwestern region of Michigan. Are you looking to connect with your community, the STEM leaders of tomorrow, and the enthusiastic individuals tackling the task of preparing today’s youth for the future? Through your membership benefits, you have the opportunity to put your business in front of families and the students that are the workforce of tomorrow.
This year marks the first time we are seeking additional annual memberships. Become a part of one of the most important community efforts in Northwest Michigan to strengthen and grow our future workforce. We need you to make it happen.
Newton’s Road accepts donations of any size! All donations will receive a text-based acknowledgement on our Newton’s Road website and are tax-deductible. Please contact Jeanna Michalek to make a donation: Jeanna.firstname.lastname@example.org, 231.929.5073.
