Michigan Works! IT Career Fair in Traverse City April 8
Local employers will be recruiting qualified candidates for current open IT positions at the Northwest Michigan Works! Information Technology Career Fair April 8 in Traverse City. The event will run from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hagerty Center located at 715 East Front Street. Along with local employers the career fair will include information and resources for people considering IT careers. The event is being sponsored by Northwest Michigan Works!, Networks Northwest, and NMC.
The first hour of the Career Fair will be for job seekers who are looking to be hired now. From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. the event will be open to everyone, including students just looking to network. There will also be a special session for employers from 3:30 p.m to 4:00 p.m. to provide information about Northwestern Michigan College’s (NMC) Software Developer Apprenticeship Program.
The positions employers at the IT Career Fair will be recruiting for include:
- Network Technicians, Administrators, and Engineers
- Software Developers
- Database Administration
- CAD Systems Engineer
- Manufacturing Software Technician
- Summer Support Intern
- Account Managers
- Web Developer
- And more!
Representatives from Northwestern Michigan College (NMC), Ferris State University (FSU), and the Traverse Bay Area ISD Career Tech Center will be available to answer questions about education and training opportunities for anyone interested in IT careers.
