Michigan Works! IT Career Fair in Traverse City April 22

 

TRAVERSE CITY, MI—Local employers will be recruiting qualified candidates for current open IT positions at the Northwest Michigan Works! Information Technology Career Fair Tuesday, April 22 in Traverse City. The event will run from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hagerty Center located at 715 East Front Street. Along with local employers the career fair will  include information and resources for people considering IT careers.

 

The positions employers will be recruiting for include:

 

  • Network Technicians, Administrators, and Engineers
  • Software Developers
  • Database Administration
  • CAD Systems Engineer
  • Manufacturing Software Technician
  • Summer Support Intern
  • Account Managers
  • Web Developer

 

Employers participating in the Career Fair include: Advanced Computer Solutions; Auto-Owners Insurance; FIAMM Technologies; Inforth Technologies; Interlochen Center for the Arts; MTI Market Technologies; OneUpWeb; RJG Inc.; SafetyNet; Terrapin Networks; Wyant Computer Services; and more.

 

Representatives from Northwestern Michigan College (NMC), Ferris State University (FSU), and the Traverse Bay Area ISD Career Tech Center will be available to answer questions about education and training opportunities for anyone interested in IT careers.

 

"This is the third year for the IT Career Fair and it has become a popular event for employers to scope for top talent and for IT professionals to land their next big opportunity," said Jaclyn Sanborn, Northwest Michigan Council of Governments Business Connections Manager.

 

Anyone interested in attending the IT Career Fair should register by April 17 at nwm.org/IT to receive preferred access to the Career Fair. Walk-ins will still be welcome on the day of the event.

 

Job seekers attending the event should bring at least 12 copies of their résumé and be prepared for a professional, onsite interview. More information is available at: nwm.org/IT.
