    The Auto & Diesel Career Fair is being held at the Parsons-Stulen Building in Traverse City at the NMC Aero Park Campus. In its third year, the event showcases industry workers, employers, and equipment, providing ample opportunity for networking and job interviews.   • Northern Michigan Business Expo and Job Fair

    April 16, 2015 - 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

    The Northern Michigan Business Expo and Job Fair is being held at the Williamsburg Dinner Theater and is hosted by the Elk Rapids Chamber. Join us for a great afternoon of networking. The exhibit hall will be full of local businesses looking to expand their reach in the community. Northwest Michigan Works! will be available for job seekers and some organizations may be hiring. The Business After Hours portion of the event runs from 5-7pm, where all exhibitors will be on display. Enjoy appetizers from Kelly's catering and a Short's tap takeover.   • Charlevoix County High School Career Expo

    April 17, 2015 - 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

    This second annual event offers an opportunity for over 400 students from local high schools to explore a variety of businesses and companies that correlate with the Michigan Career Pathways (Arts, Communication, Business, Management, Marketing, Technology, Engineering/Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Health Sciences, Human Services, Natural Sciences, and Agriscience). Students will be able to ask questions and learn more about specific careers. The event is being held at the Charlevoix Middle/HIgh School, 05200 Marion Center Road, and is sponsored by Career Jump Start, Charlevoix Emmet Intermediate School District, North Central Michigan College, and Northwest Michigan Works.

Start-up costs, financing options, and business planning are introduced, along with necessary steps to getting started. The presenter is SBDC Business Consultant Joni Krolczyk. There is no cost to attend; however, pre-registration is required.
