The Framework for Our Future: A Regional Prosperity Plan for Northwest Michigan is a regional resource for communities working to meet local goals.
The Framework was developed, with participation from a broad range of community leaders, stakeholders, and the public, as part of Michigan’s Regional Prosperity Initiative. It includes a wealth of information and tools that all parts of the community – the public, community leaders, businesses, nonprofits, public agencies, and statewide stakeholders – can use to supplement their local deliberation, planning, and decision-making processes.
Growing Business with Workforce Housing - a guidebook
The Framework for Our Future includes a broad range of community-identified solutions for meeting Northwest Michigan's housing needs. But in order to take action and improve housing choices, suport is needed from all parts of the community--including employers. Without quality housing choices that are affordable to our workforce, our region will struggle to attract the skilled workers that are needed to build our economy.

Framework for our Future: Talent Lunches Summary A Summary of Employer Discussions about the Labor Shortage
In March 2015, Networks Northwest hosted a series of employer roundtables throughout the ten-county region of Northwestern lower Michigan. Employers were invited to share the struggles they experience when attempting to fill their open positions. They also provided input on what they felt were the causes of these struggles. Finally, they brainstormed strategies for addressing these issues.
Accessing Healthcare: The Challenge of Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Northwest Lower Michigan
The Framework for Our Future includes community-identified strategies for meeting Northwest Michigan’s transportation needs, including efforts to support Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT). But in order to take that action and commit to supporting NEMT, there are many factors that community stakeholders need to better understand.
